Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is finally here! Smartphones will be able to find a new major version, after more than 10 months under Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The announcement was to be made on October 11, but was postponed until today. Some emphasized the death of Steve Jobs, where others were talking about removing features because of possible patent infringement. After watching the conference, the latter seems to be wrong, since Google has once again shown that innovation is the heart of the business
The conference was marked by many speakers on stage. Google was very proud to announce its operating system, sometimes there were hiccups, but it also comes from the vagaries of live: nothing was recorded. Regarding stakeholder side from Samsung, they were however less catchy ...
Matias Duarte was the first to go on stage for Ice Cream Sandwich. Dressed in a white suit with three pockets, he said that the philosophy of this new version is summed up by "enchant me - simplify my life - make me awesome." The first novelty is the inclusion of a new font (conducted in English) called Roboto. It is supposed to highlight emotions, inspire us ... beautiful sentences marketings.
